Introducing Rangemaster’s all new induction…

Induction cooking has become one of the most popular fuel types due to its energy efficiency, quick heat up times, controllability and safety. Let me just break it down for you, incase you aren’t too sure about what induction cooking really is. Induction cooking uses electric currents to directly heat pans through magnetic induction. Induction heats up itself almost instantly. An electric current is passed through a coiled copper wire underneath the cooking surface which creates a magnetic current throughout the cooking pan to produce heat. Because an outside heat source isn’t used, the cooking surface doesn’t get hot during the process, so you never need to worry about little hands wandering and getting burnt! Induction cooking is more efficient then say traditional gas and electric cooking, because no heat energy is lost during the cooking process. So, you can see why it is so popular amongst home owners. So Rangemaster have introduced the next generation in induction systems – ‘The Rangemaster Induction System G5MK2’, which will feature on an exclusive number of their stunning range cookers.

So, what’s new…

Bridging zone Low temperature setting Griddle

Bridging zone
Rangemaster’s new induction system includes two large cooking zones that can be used independently or bridged together to create one large surface area. This is perfect for griddles, fish kettles or several pans together.

Low temperature settings
It’s easy to overcook on the hob, especially if you cannot get the heat setting right. Choose the low temperature option to hold a low temperature for a period of two hours, after which the hob will conveniently turn itself off. This is ideal for melting butter or chocolate, keeping food warm or cooking on a gently simmer. No more over boiling or burning!

Griddle
Rangemaster have also developed a brand-new induction compatible griddle, which comes as a standard you’ll be pleased to know, on all Deluxe and SE range cookers. Because it’s made from cast aluminium, the griddle is lightweight yet hard wearing. It has rubber feat to protect the glass underneath so you don’t need to worry about marking the surface.

PowerBoost Pan detection Boil dry

PowerBoost
This brilliant new function offers maximum power in an instant and is available on each of the cooking zones. This function is superb for boiling water quickly.

Pan detection
New induction burners on the G5MK2 system will cleverly recognise when a pan is placed on any of the cooking zones and will switch off automatically once the pan is removed from the surface.

Boil dry detection
Having implemented sensors into the hob, they recognise when the temperature of the pan rises rapidly, usually when a pan is about to boil dry, and will automatically reduce the power. So, if you turn your back just for a second, your food won’t be ruined.

Are you ready for the next generation of induction? So, a few of the new functions and features explained.
