What is a HEPA filter?
HEPA means high-efficiency particulate air. A HEPA filter works by forcing air through a fine mesh which captures 99.95% of airborne particles including; dust, pollen, mould spores, debris and pet dander. The activated carbon layer reduces odours caused by bacteria, smoke, pets and cooking.

What is PlasmaShield™ Technology?
PlasmaShield™ Technology uses air ionization to generate positive and negative ions to remove bacteria and viruses in the air. This technology replicates nature. In the same way that thunderstorms, waterfalls and waves crashing on the beach all release large amounts of ions into the air, these ions attract each other and neutralise. This results in clean, purified air.
What is the difference between the Sciaire and Aaira ranges?
Sciaire products use PlasmaShield™ technology which sends out positive and negative ions to remove bacteria and viruses in the air. The Sciaire range is ideal for allergy sufferers. Aaira uses HOCl technology which creates a cleaning solution to disinfect the air. Using water and non-iodized salt, the solution is released into the air destroying particles upon contact. The Aaira range is also great at removing odours.
What is HOCl?
HOCl or hyphclorous acid, is an acid similar to lemon juice. Although mild, it tears apart microorganisms upon contact, making it a powerful yet safe cleaning solution.
