No, is the short answer. However, some advanced features rely on being plumbed into your water supply. So if you’re looking forward to unlimited ice and chilled water on tap, plumbing in may be the way to go. You can of course still get American style fridge freezers with ice and water dispensers that don’t require being plumbed in. But you’ll need to refill these manually. This is absolutely fine, but if you know you’ll be using these features regularly, we think it’s worth considering a plumbed-in model.
