Kitchen Trends: Industrial Style

When it comes to designing your kitchen, finding a style is a great way to create a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing space. One of the most popular design trends of recent years is the industrial kitchen.
Combining tough, utilitarian materials with modern appliances and a neutral colour palette, industrial kitchens are a minimalistic kitchens more laid-back older sibling. Defined by exposed brick and metallic details, there are so many reasons why we love the look of an industrial kitchen.
Here we take a closer look at our customer Rebecca’s kitchen to give you some serious industrial style inspiration…

Light and Bright
The use of light plays a key role in this kitchen’s stunning design. Sky lights let in an abundance of natural light, allowing the sun to reflect off the kitchen’s light-coloured worktops, walls and cabinetry. This makes the space feel bigger and more welcoming.
The Stone Blue Shaker style cabinets compliment the Istone Calacatta quartz worktops perfectly.
You will also notice that the cabinets above the range cooker have a wood finish. This change in appearance adds depth to the space and creates a focal point to display the stunning Smeg induction range cooker.
Combining natural textures (wooden flooring, exposed brickwork and quartz worktops) brings a modern authentic feel to the kitchen.

All In The Detail
Simple touches make all the difference in this kitchen’s design. From the brass handles that beautifully complement the blue cabinets, to the bespoke storage options, Rebecca has paid attention to every detail to ensure her kitchen is practical as well as stylish.
Large industrial lighting creates a focal point over the island and pairs perfectly with the black Quooker tap.

Smeg Range Cooker
The Smeg Victoria range cooker combines your two favourite appliances into one with space to cook lots of tasty meals.
The induction hob top is energy efficient and can be easily wiped clean after use. Did we mention induction hobs also incredibly safe?
This style of cooker is timeless and will complement your kitchen for years to come. Rebecca cleverly chose the white finish to tie in with her white quartz countertops. We think it works perfectly with her crisp colour scheme!
Quooker Boiling Water Tap
Not only does the Quooker Flex look fantastic, but it also provides you with boiling water in an instant. This way you can get rid of your kettle and reclaim valuable counter space! Another handy feature is the pull-out hose which is ideal for rinsing and preparing vegetables.
The striking black finish matches the island lighting and the induction surface on the range cooker. This brings the whole kitchen together for a cohesive look.
Samsung American Style Fridge Freezer
American style fridge freezers are one of our most sought-after appliances. Rebecca’s stainless steel Samsung American style fridge freezer has a huge capacity and plenty of storage space to feed larger families.
As well as looking great, Samsung fridge freezers are also packed with innovative features. SpaceMax Technology™ utilises the internal space to create lots of useful storage options. Thanks to Twin Cooling Plus™, food can be kept fresh for up to twice as long.
Neff Integrated Dishwasher
To continue this kitchen’s sleek design, Rebecca opted for some integrated appliances, including her Neff dishwasher. Hidden behind a beautiful cabinet door, this 60cm dishwasher boasts a high energy rating and a variety of wash programmes.
A useful feature on Neff dishwashers is the InfoLight which projects light onto the floor to indicate when the dishwasher is in operation.
