Important Information: Hisense Safety Notice

In August 2025, Hisense issued a safety notice for their 10KG 5S series tumble dryers.

Hisense issued the following statement:

“We have identified a safety risk in certain units of the Hisense Tumble Dryers outlined above. The compressor wiring harness may be damaged due to contact with the support drum wheel. This can lead to overheating and potential hazards.

This recall affects products sold in the following countries:

Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, UK & Ireland, Ukraine.

This recall is conducted in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988, Articles 35 and 36, and complies with labeling and traceability obligations under Article 9(8). National market surveillance authorities have been notified via the Safety Business Gateway.

If you own one of the affected products:

  1. Stop using it immediately.
  2. Check the model and batch number to confirm your unit is affected.
  3. Contact our support team to arrange a feee in-home inspection and repair.

Important: If your device was manufactured outside of the period from the affected product, we can confirm that this issue is not relevant to your product.”

Is My Appliance Affected?

You can find out if your appliance is affected by checking your model and batch number on your Hisense tumble dryer. You can find this on a sticker when you open the door of your appliance. Please note, this safety notice only affects specific tumble dryers that were purchased between November 2024 and March 2025.

If your model is affected, you are entitled to:

  • Free in-home inspection.
  • Free repair of the affected unit (if necessary).
