It may be that the rapid heat transfer of ceramic hobs with their streamlined design appeal. Or possibly induction with its direct heat transfer to the pan and reduced heat loss to the hob top, coupled with Neff’s Flexinduction system; meaning that limited pan zones are a thing of the past as you can combine zones for larger pans.
