What Happens To My Old Appliance?
This depends on the type of appliance you have. We remove all the cooling gases and insulation foam from refrigerators. This ensures no hazardous substances can leak out and cause soil or water contamination, which is dangerous to humans and wildlife.
The good news is over 75% of the materials in old appliances can be recycled. This includes plastics, stainless steel and other metals including copper and aluminium. So when you choose to recycle your old appliance with us, you are giving valuable materials a new lease of life!

What Is WEEE?
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is regulated to reduce the amount of electrical equipment which ends up in landfill. In the UK, distributors, including retailers, must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.
