About Stoves
Starting out as a sheet metal and gas heating company in the early 1920’s, Stoves decided to diversify into the cooking appliance market. In 1925, moving to larger premises in Rainhill gave Stoves the space to create cookers. In the years that followed, Stoves created different cooker collections with many innovative features. These included inventing the hotplate ignition button and the first self-cleaning oven lining.
By the late 1980’s Stoves focused on becoming a leading brand in the world of gas cooking, holding the values of ‘simple, sturdily built and reliable’. More recently, Stoves designed the FreedomFLEX induction range cooker. These have a zoneless induction hob top, a world first for range cooking.
