Haier has been ranked as the number one major appliance brand in the world by international consumer research company Euromonitor.
The Chinese major appliance brand topped Euromonitor’s charts for the third consecutive year with a 7.8% share of total retail volume in 2011. These figures also signify a significant 1.7% growth for Haier in global brand share since 2010.
In addition to being named as the number one major appliance brand, according to Euromonitor’s research, Haier also gained the top position and is the world leader in several product categories. In refrigeration, Haier is the number one manufacturer with a 16.5 % retailer volume share and is also rated the number one brand with a 13.7% retail volume share. According to Euromonitor the brand has achieved the same success in the Freezer sector. It is now the world leader in freezer manufacturing with a 16.8% retail volume share and the number one freezer brand with a 16.7% share.
Haier is also the number one brand and manufacturer of wine coolers globally with a 16.1% retail volume share, up 1.3 points from 2010. The Chinese brand also topped the chart in home laundry appliances and is now the world’s leading brand with a 10.9% retail volume share, up 1.8 points from 2010.
These results signify that the brand is strengthening and expanding its presence on a global scale.
