The new range of American Fridge Freezers include features such as Door-in-Door, Pure N Fresh, Inverter Linear Compressor, Smart Diagnosis, Smart Eco Door and Moist Balance Crisper, just to name a few. I imagine some of those features may go a little over your head, in which case let’s break a few of them down.

So the LG GMJ916NSHV American Fridge Freezer, is one from the new range which we sell here at Appliance City. It has some of the above features and more;

Door-in-Door which is a Smart Storage System, means there is less cold air loss keeping the temperature of the fridge freezer consistent. So If you need to grab something quickly out of the fridge there isn’t much need to open the whole fridge, you just simply open the small door within the door. Straight forward right? This specific model also comes with a folding shelf, making room for tall items. Adjustable moving baskets, which enables the storage of big and tall items. Extra space allowing room for more food storage. Dual sliding shelves which make it easier to reach food items. Easy pull drawers with a convenient sliding door. Inverter Linear Compressor – Efficient Energy Saving.

Pure N Fresh

Pure N Fresh is the minimisation of fridge odours. The unique air purification system is a fan assisted carbon deodoriser which actively forces odour filled air through the deodoriser and sends it back across three different shelving levels via the fresh shower ducting. So in other words, no more stinky fridge smells taking over the purity of your kitchen! A great feature.

Smart Diagnosis

Now this feature for me is proof that in 20-30 years’ time we will be run by computers (cute little robots) solely! LG’s Smart Diagnosis is a fast and easy way to troubleshoot any issues you may have with your appliance. Simply call the Customer Service Helpline and place the phone on the appliance. The appliance then communicates with a computer that produces a diagnosis within seconds and provides an immediate solution. I mean come on, how cool is that?! Just the fact that it reduces any waiting time to find out what could be wrong is amazing. Less time wasting, less faff.

This specific model also has a hidden water filter, tall ice and water dispenser so you aren’t struggling to fill up a bottle or glass, LED lighting which is more energy efficient and has a longer life than a conventional bulb lighting system. It also allows for fresher food with less heat release.

Moist Balance Crisper

The vegetable compartment of this model has a special technology that maintains the correct moisture balance and the optimum temperature for fresh and organic vegetables, maintaining their ‘from the field’ freshness for longer. Smart right?

Total no frost

So most of LG’s refrigeration range come with total no frost. So total no frost consists of; even cooling which is a multi air flow system which evenly spreads cool air into every corner of the fridge. Faster cooling, which aids cooling down the temperature faster when putting warm food in the fridge. Clean interior keeping your refrigeration hygienic. Longer freshness, consistently fast and even cooling system provides fresher food for your healthy daily life. Many of the LG refrigeration range we have here at Appliance city carry similar features. Most have total no frost, Moist Balance Crisper, Door-in-Door and LED energy saving lighting. They do however differ. The LG GSB760PZXV for example is non ice and water whereas the LG GSL760PZXV does have ice and water. Both the LG GSL761PZXV and LG GSL761WBXV are non plumbed ice and water models. So can be situated where ever you wish in your kitchen. Showroom Beauty…

We currently have the sleek and stylish LG GS9366AEAV in our showroom and in stock. Now having had a look around this American Fridge Freezer I was immediately impressed with its design. It is a little bit different to many of the other brand refrigeration models we have in our showroom in terms of look. The Door-in-door feature is really smooth and allows you to dab into the fridge without opening the main door. It has handles which are tucked away inside the door giving it a clean finish.

The LG Smart Eco Door (which is what this model has) is a second door within the main door of the refrigerator. In this second door you can keep food and drinks you use most often for easy access. The Smart Eco Door allows for the main refrigerator doors to be open less often and consequently keeping the temperature inside the fridge consistent, enabling your food to be kept fresher for longer. It also houses a water dispenser for quick and easy refreshment so again, you don’t have to dab into the fridge often for a bottle of water. This model also has electronic controls, automatic ice maker and crushed ice function. A door alarm, child lock to keep those little fingers from attempting to get at those naughty treats and an Inverter Linear Compressor for energy saving.

With summer on the horizon (we hope) having smart refrigeration is key. Just think of all those BBQs and parties you’ll be hosting.
