About Hobs
Hob sizes range from 30cm Dominos to 120cm Professional Cooktops and are available in black ceramic glass, stylish stainless steel and various enamel finishes. There are four types of hob which are Gas, Solid Plate, Ceramic and Induction which is fast becoming the most popular type of electric hob. Induction hobs can only be used with ferromagnetic pans as they use magnetic field to heat the pan rather than the elements used on a standard ceramic hob.
Please note,all gas appliances,if installed in a multi-dwelling building (flats/appartments etc) must be fitted with a flame failure device.
